Lu Ying-Chieh is a Kaohsiung native and a graduate of Tsoying Senior High School’s Dance Division and a graduate of National Taiwan University of Arts’ College of Performing Arts Department of Dance. She joined Hung Dance in 2020, and appeared in LAI Hung-Chung’s works “Boundless,” “See You,” “Resist,” and “Insistence of Beauty.” In 2021, she performed in Steffie Chiang’s graduation work “Steffie Is Gone,” which was choreographed by SU Wei-Chia and HUANG Huai-Te. In the same year, HORSE invited her to be a guest dancer in “Freesteps – 2 Dancers, 8 Hours.”
During LU’s time as a student, she performed numerous times with Da-Guan Dance Theatre, including in “Wild Butterflies,” and “Rhythmic Fantasy of Chinese Brilliance.” She also danced in the production “Pulcinella,” which was performed as part of Kaohsiung Spring Arts Festival’s Youth Music and Dance Program.
